OLD MAN!!

This is two days late but oh well.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAKE EVAN!!

Jake turned 27 on Wednesday....he is so old.  I feel like he is older because his hair is gray and he is balding BUT we still love him.

I feel bad, every year we go big for Birthdays, except this one. I think Jake was thinking I had something up my sleeve when I told him not to be disappointed when he didn't have anything to open OR a big surprise.  He wants these clutch cables for his Harley obviously I don't speak Harley so I kept telling him to literally show me what he was talking about.  He has been slammed with work so he never got around to it which means he had nothing to open on his birthday.  Its two days later and I still have no idea what I am supposed to order...poor guy is gonna have to go and buy them himself. LAME-O WIFE OF THE YEAR AWARD GOES TO ME!

To make things worse, I didn't even plan his party.  I'm just not my usual organzied self lately.  Good thing I have great friends to remind me about things and Jake's friends are even better.  He is having a bon fire on Saturday night to celebrate...red neck style.

Anyways...BABE I love you so much and even though there are days we want to kill each other just know that I wouldn't have you any other way. You're my best friend, and the BEST hubs ever! Love you sexy pants!

**If taking a picture is not Kenzie's idea, this is what we end up with!

Baby Squish

                                                                                      (SQUISH at 8 weeks)

PREGNANCY UPDATE:

Squish HATES when I eat food...literally...in fact HATE isn't a strong enough word...squish gets pissed when I eat anything.  I kept saying OHHH it will be better once I hit the magical week 12 but guess what I'm almost 13 weeks and it hasn't been so magical yet.  I can't complain, Carrie has it 45289756265736 times worse than me but she is a BAD ASS and can handle that type of stuff...me not so much, my life full of nausea and vomit has reduced me to tears and made me loose 14 pounds!

My love for all things soda is gone (for which I am SO grateful).  Just hearing a can crack open sends me to the thrown of glory and Kenzie knows when I start running Mommy needs a wet rag and ICE water.  Yes people, my four year old pats my back and holds my hair as I throw up telling me it's going to be ok.

My hormones are INSANE! I think about anything happy or sad and I cry cry cry.  Everyday, somebody in my life gets an insanely sappy text message with me telling them how much I love them.  I'm sure they have the local looney bin on speed dial.

Even though its been hard, I am so happy to be pregnant again and wouldn't change it for the world.  Kenzie is so excited to be a big sister and tells everybody that Mommy and Daddy are having a baby.

We find out what we are having on Feb. 25 and I will be sure to put tons of pictures of the gender reveal party on my post about it!

YAY for babies

First Blog in Almost A Year

If I had to sum up my life the past year, I think the word that fits it best is...

CHAOTIC(my BFF Britney has a song titled Chaotic so of course its perfect for me)

Chaos isn't always a bad thing...I feel like a little bit of chaos is good.

1. Jake started his own company...All Phase Construction and Mechanical.  He is doing really really well.  His mom and dad did a wonderful job raising him with the work ethic of a mule horse.  Seriously, there are days I look at the man is awe, because there is NO WAY I would/could have the patience he has.  He is INSANE when it comes to business and running his.

2. I went back to school (for the 35463164131 time).  This time I went with a different attitude and decided it needed to be for me and nobody else.  History is a passion of mine...I love reading, talking, thinking and preaching about it.  So it just makes sense for me to get my degree in social science education.  I want a job where I can enjoy going to work every morning.  I started observing in an 11th grade US History class and fell in love.  I was at home and knew this is what I needed to do.

3. Kenzie turned 4....WHAT??  My child is 4.  I remember that fateful morning that I peed on that little white stick and two lines showed up.  How was that so long ago?  Kenzie is a spit fire and I wouldn't have her any other way.  She knows what she wants and goes for it.  CRAZY SMART...sometimes I feel like she is smarter than me...she can thank my brother Michael for that she got whatever genious genes that he got.

4. We moved AGAIN....ugh over it (and will be moving again in about 6 months) For 6 months last year we tried and tried to buy a house.  We found three homes we loved and for whatever reason all three fell through.  First, was a short sale that was taking millions of years to close on.  Second was a home where the homeowners were not willing to budge a cent and then wanted to rent their home from us for a month or two (uhmmm crazy much? NO) and the Third was the best...foreclosure amazing home everything we wanted and we ended up in a biding war with somebody else and the bank went with the other offer.  I was heartbroken and gave up on buying a house...too much stress.

5. Had a crazy crazy summer.  I feel like it was so crazy that it went by in a blur and then it was fall.

6. Kenzie started Pre-K.  My little baby girl is not so little anymore.

7. My Grandma passed away.  She was so sick and it was time but we still miss her like crazy.  Kenzie still asks about her on a daily basis, they were very close.

8. Found out.......I'M PREGNANT with baby number TWO!  Due August 15 2013...Kenzie and squish will be 5 years apart so I'm literally sending one to school and starting all over again.

2013 is gonna be a good good year for us.  So many exciting things lined up like Tonya's wedding, Jessie's wedding, and Courtney's wedding. Sister in law (Marilyn) is having a baby, Sister is having a baby and BFF Carrie Lynn is having a baby!!  Buying a house (crossing fingers this time will be easy peasy) sending Kenzie to Kindergarten and adding a new baby to our house.
